Salvatore Giunta, on Sept. 7, 2011, after a long battle with cancer surrounded by his family. He served his country in the Korean War in the US Army and attained the rank of Sgt. First Class. Sal was a proud member of the NYPD and retired as detective in the Bronx District Attorney's Office Squad. He was a loving father and husband. Survived by his wife Jo-Ann, a daughter and her husband & his precious granddaughter. Also his sister, 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Reposing Sat. & Sun. 2-4 & 7-9 at Sinatra Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. (914-963-5263). Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10am at our Lady of Perpetual Help, 535 Ashford Ave., Ardsley.
