I originally knew Gene as Alex's brother, when my husband Dave worked with Al at the NYSE. When I saw that Gene was at Calvery, I was able to visit him two to three times a week whenever I was working there. He managed to keep his sense of humor, and seemed at peace. My sympathy goes out to all his family on their loss.
