Dale M Finnigan of Mt. Kisco, NY died in the arms of his wife and children after a long illness on October 20, 2011 at Northern Westchester Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, JoAnne; son Darin Finnigan of Purdys, NY; daughter Julie Gallagher; son in law William Gallagher; granddaughter Elle Gallagher of Mt. Kisco, NY and sister, Jeane Liske of Tuscon, AZ and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Roche and Genevieve Finnigan of Lathrop Village, Michigan and brother of the late Francis Finnigan of New Port Richey, Florida. Dale was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 29, 1937. He graduated from Assumption High School in Windsor, Canada and attended the Ferris Institute in Big Rapids, Michigan. He served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1968 and was called to active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He moved to New York in the mid 1970's and retired from The Hartford Insurance Company 1n 1998. Dale loved boat racing, auto racing and enjoyed attending car shows and crusing around in his 1966 GTO with his family. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 at St. Francis off Assisi Church, 2 Green St., Mt. Kisco. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco.
