Angelina LaBombardi (Apiscopa-Galdo) a resident of South Salem since 1998, died Tuesday, November 8, at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was 89. Mrs. LaBombari was born April 17, 1922 in Mt. Vernon, New York. Ashe was the daughter of the late Leonardo Apiscopa and the late Mary Apiscopa-Galdo. She married Joseph LaBombardi in 1948 and was predeceased by her husband in June of 1996. Mrs. LaBombari raised her children in Mt. Vernon and in Shrub Oak, New York. Mrs. LaBombardi was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She loved time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, shopping, eating sweets and most recently, participating in activites with the Lewisboro Seniors. Mrs. LaBombardi was a past member of the Lewisboro Seniors Board and thoroughly enjoyed singing and acting in plays with "Over the Hill Players." Mrs. LaBombardi was also a member of The Red Hat Society. Mrs. LaBombardi is survived by her son, Joseph LaBombardi ( and wife Ann LaBombardi); daughters Janet Friedman (and husband, Donald Friedman) and Judy McCormick (and husband, Brendan McCormick); six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother Alfonso (Didi) Galdo, and sisters Anna Greco and Catherine O'Leary. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Apiscopa and sisters Leona DeMatteo, Agnes Dente, and Mary Belle. Friends may call at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main St., Mt. Kisco on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Mass on Fraiday at 10AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Katonah. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. LaBombardi's memory may be made to the Lewisboro Seniors, 65 Old Bedford Road, Goldens Bridge, New York 10526
