Michele (Michael) Di Chiara, age 96, of Yonkers died Saturday, November 19, 2011. Mr. Di Chiara was born April 12, 1915 in Chiusa Sclafani, Italy the son of the late Francesco and Giuseppina (Cascio-Ingurgio) Di Chiara. He is survived by his beloved wife Marianne (Troia) Di Chiara, who he met in Italy and married in Yonkers almost 50 years ago. Dear brother of Giuseppe DiChiara of Palermo, Italy, and the late Pietro DiChiara, Mario DiChiara and Rosa DiChiara. Michele was blessed with 21 nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, Inc. 1801 Willamette Street, Suite 200 Eugene, OR 97401, www.fanconi.org in honor of his nephew who has this disease.
