On Monday, November 21, 2011, Robert D. Palmer made his transition from earth to glory to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Robert D. Palmer was born in Tuckahoe, New York on April 10, 1940. He was born to Leonard and Hester Palmer. He attended Yonkers public schools. He was employed by and retired from General Motors. He is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Joyce Cochran-Palmer, of 48 years. Out of this union was born three children; Tyrone (Debra) Palmer, Tonya (Rudolph) Williams and Tamela Palmer, four grandchildren; Tiffany Palmer, Shayna Hairston, Essence Best-Collins and Jalen Judson, and two great grandchildren; Anthony Stephens and Tori Hairston. He also leaves to mourn two sisters; Diane Palmer and Barbara Palmer and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents Hester and Leonard Palmer. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and watching his favorite baseball team the New York Yankees. And he also loved to share stories with his family and friends. We will miss him dearly. Friends and family may call during the hours of 7-9PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Community Baptist Church on Ashburton Ave & North Broadway, Yonkers. A service will follow on Wednesday at 10AM at the Community Baptist Church, followed by Interment at Oakland Cemetery.
