Joseph LaFemina, of Yonkers, born Nov. 18, 1929 to the late Peter and Rose LaFemina passed on Nov 30, 2011 due to the complications from cancer. He is survived by a loving sister Madeline, husband George, brother Anthony, wife Jeanie and predeceased brother Frank. He married Margret Vetrano and they had three children. He also leaves behind children Joseph, Dean and Debra, daughter-in-laws Joann, Debbie, son-in-law, Rob. All of whom he adored and did a lot to make him happy. Also surviving are his wonderful grandchildren, Joseph, Matt, Tara (Tom), Brittney, Lee Ann, Amanda and Julia and his great grandchildren, Thomas, Jyessa and Mia, as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends whom he loved very much. Joseph was a soldier in the US Army and proudly served in the Korean war. He was a member of the United Cement Mason Union for many years. Joe was an avid bowler and could be found at Homefield Bowl in Yonkers where he spent much time with his friends. Joe loved life, sports and animals and he lived his life to the fullest will be missed dearly. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7-9 PM at The Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:45 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or the VA Hospital of Montrose NY whom in his last moments, cared for him with extreme love. we thank them.
