John A. Mercurio, age 88, of Yonkers died Sunday, December 11, 2011. Mr. Mercurio was born June 16, 1923 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late Louis and Teresa Mercurio. Beloved husband of Esther (Adler) Mercurio. Devoted father of Louis Mercurio, Michael Mercurio and Teresa Furnari. Loving step-father of Diane Balaban and Helene Axelrod. Cherished grandfather of five and great grandfather of two. John was pre-deceased by his first wife Rose in 1978. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 at Mt Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers.
