Obituary of Jubrail Naber

Jubrail Naber (Gabe), age 82, of Yonkers died Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was born August 11, 1929 in Salt, Jordan the son of the late Ibrahim and Miriam Naber. Loving brothers of Kamal Naber, Bishara Naber, Najla Shaggura, Nicola Naber, Laila Naber and Rev. Protodeacon Saleem Naber and is predeceased by his brothers Issa Naber and Jamel Naber. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews. Jubrail has fathered many through his support, guidance, generosity and true compassion towards the well being of others. He was a pioneer for his family in every sense of the word, having been the first to come to the United States to establish a life for himself and lead the way for many of his siblings to follow. He made it his lifetime goal to make sure the people surrounding him were well taken care of. He touched many lives with his generosity and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had countless friends and family all over the world. Although his passing leaves us all with a vast hole in our lives and in our hearts, we feel comfort knowing he is in a place with no pain, no grief and no sighing but everlasting life. Mr. Naber's friends may call on Tuesday from 10am to 8pm at Christ the Savior Melkite Catholic Church, 491 Palisade Avenue, Yonkers. The funeral mass is to be held Wednesday at 10:00am at Christ the Savior Melkite Catholic Church. Entombment to follow - Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
