As a final tribute to my Mother-in-law (M.I.L.) Carmela I would like to share the eulogy I wrote celebrate her life.
Today we are all here not to mourn the loss of Carmela, but to celebrate her life. Carmela was a great woman who had a very unique outlook on life. She was a strong, caring, and nurturing woman who was larger then life to everyone in her family. Carmela always made herself available to anyone who was in need of advice, needed a problem solved, or just needed a shoulder to cry on. Carmela was above all a honest and truthful person, so when it was advice you needed she didn't always tell you what you wanted to here, but told you what you needed to know and that was one of the things that made Carmela so unique. Personally speaking I have been a part of the Wagner family for over 32 years, before meeting and being touched by Janets love I didn't know how to love, nor did I Know how to be loved I knew the words, but I never shared or experienced the emotion. My wife Janet opened that door for me and because the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and Janet taught me how to love, and how to be loved I give Carmela credit for that as well. In the end after so many months of pain and suffering Carmela was able to gather enough strenth to maintain her dignity. Carmela was brought up in a very proud Italian family where heritage and dignity are a mainstay. Carmela's children Debbie, Billy, Laura, Janet, and Beth were by their mother's side 24/7 and made sure she was well looked after and kept as comfortable as could be. Carmela"s grand children Jacqueline, jennifer, diane, Billy, Eddie, Bobby, Jessica, Billy, Keith, courtney, Danillie, and Nicole and great grandchildren Ryan, Christopher, and aidan were there to keep a smile on her face and maybe for a brief moment help her forget she was sick. ALL of children that I have mentioned did such a wonderful job and have nothing but love in their hearts for Carmela. Carmela you epitomizse the definition of Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, friend, and mentor. Carmela (M.I.L.) you will so dearly missed, but our wonderful memories of you will never be forgotten.
Love always,
Nicky (S.I.L.)

Today has been one of the saddest days of my life. My dear mother-in-law passed away at 11:51 am. Carmela was the true matriarch of the Wagner family always quick to give her advice and share her wisdom with the family members. Carmela was a wise woman who no matter what the circumstance was always able to solve the issue at hand and became affectionately known as " tubby the detective". Carmela left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten and a huge gap in the hearts of all she has touched. I will never forget her, and Carmela will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. To all of Carmela's children, grand children, and great grand children I offer you my condolences and deepest sympathy on the unfortunate and untimely passing of Carmela. I love you and will miss you. Someday I will see you again.
Love your son-in-law (S.I.L.)

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
I Love You Mommy your pain is over ?

It was like being in my second home with you. You treated me like one of your own. Even kept me in check when i needed it. My heart is breaking, but I know you at peace now. Love you forever and will miss you more than you could possibly know Mrs. Wagner. May God keep you by His side.

Janet,
May your mom rest in peace! She is in a better place now and will be taken care of. There are no words to say that can fill a mom's void, but as long as you remember then that's all that counts. Memories live on forever! Meaning your mom will live on forever with you, through you! God bless you and your family.

Love is stronger than death even though it cant stop death from happening but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It cant take away our memories either. In the end life is stronger than death. My grandmother was the strongest woman ive ever known. I loved her more then anything in this world. Gram you looked so peaceful and beautiful. As yu layed there i held yur hand through the hardest time in my life, saying goodbye to my grandmother now known as my angel. I didnt want to say goodbye not then, not now, not ever.Knowing yu couldnt say anything and grab my hand back but what yu did do for me was give me memories of a life time. memories of you that i dont have to give away or being takin from me. yu didt say anything but yu didnt have to. Just that peaceful look had a thousdand words that said it was ok to go and that ur on yur way to another life in heaven. Your Always in my thoughts and prays "its never goodbye its always see you latter"- Gram-I LOVEE YOUU. Rest In Peace my angel? Buona Notte ? yur in gods hands now.
