Michael Karsmit, a lifetime Hastings-on-Hudson resident died peacefully on January 31, 2012 at the age of 88. For many years he worked for the Anaconda Wire & Cable Company. During WWII he served the United States Navy and saw action in the Pacific Theatre. Dear brother of the late Helen Lemisch, Sonia Hoss and Andrew Karschmidt. Cherished uncle of Karen Hardinge, William Karschmidt, Jr. and Leslie Lemisch. Funeral service at the Hastings Funeral Home on Friday (today) at 10:00am followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
