Anne De Palma (Millard), a longtime Yonkers resident, died peacefully at home on February 12, 2012. She was born on October 6, 1921 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to Gordon and Lorena Millard. On June 27, 1942 Anne married her loving husband, Lawrence, in Mount Vernon, New York. He predeceased her in 1964. For 15 years, she was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Mt. Vernon and also served as Vice President of Local APWU. Dear mother of Anne (Ben) Glasser, Margaret (Philip) Spinella, Renie Higgins, Nicholas DePalma, Mary (Bill) Stanislawczyk, Janet (Greg) Noonan of White Plains, NY, Lynn (Paul) Baran of Mahopac, NY and Gordon (Wendy) DePalma of Pawling, NY. Cherished grandmother of 26 and great-grandmother of 16. Fond sister of Kathleen McDonnell and the late Sally Werber and John Millard. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, on Tues. from 7-9 PM and Wed. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Monastery Church where Anne was a parishioner on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
