Obituary of Paul Joseph Vaccaro

Paul Joseph Vaccaro, 93 on March 2, 2012. He was raised in the Bronx and lived in Syosset and Monroe, New York before moving to Berkeley Township, NJ in 1993. He returned to Westchester, New York in 2008.
Under Selective Service, he was drafted into the Army seven months prior to Pearl Harbor and served 4 years in the 8th Division, 13th Infantry, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a D-Day veteran of the Normandy invasion and combat throughout Europe including the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery in action. Following the war, he was a manager for 39 years at Pandick Press, Wall Street financial and legal printers and retired in 1984.
He is survived by Margaret, his beloved wife of 66 years, three daughters and a son-in-law: Ann and Lee Teich of Chappaqua, Margaret Ross of Toms River, and Barbara Alexander of NYC; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Alfred of Tuxedo, NY as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra, Funeral Home, and 262 Main Street, Mt. Kisco, New York, 10549 on March 4, 2012 from 2 pm to 6 pm. A mass will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Mt. Kisco at 11 am on Mach 5, 2012. Interment will follow at Fair Ridge Cemetery, Chappaqua, New York.
