Miriam Lambdin Honey was born August 19, 1926 in Summit, NJ and died on May 7, 2012 at the age of 85 in Chappaqua, NY. She was the daughter of Rev. Dr. Henry Lyle Lambdin, a Methodist Minister, and his wife Cornelia Vivian Morrow, formerly of Florham Park, NJ. Miriam is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years E. Thomas Honey; her loving daughter Susan Louise Honey of Syracuse, NY; her caring son Thomas Honey and daughter-in-law Reeves Honey, and their children William, Sarah, and Christine of Haddon Heights, NJ; and her devoted daughter Barbara Lambdin Honey and son-in-law Christopher Graves of Delmar, NY. Miriam attended Syracuse University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in 1948. She was a member and past president of the Chappaqua Garden Club. As a dedicated member of United Methodist Women and the League of Women Voters she worked to better her community. Miriam, affectionately known as Mimi, had a lifelong love of art and design, channeling her gifts into painting, gardening, flower arrangement, decorating and entertaining. She won many awards for her floral arrangements. In the summer, she was most at home in her garden at Cape Cod. She found inspiration for her gardening and decorating from her travels around the world. Miriam had a kind heart, an easy smile, and a love for helping others. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 22 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church of Mount Kisco, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Church of Mount Kisco, NY or a charity of your choice.
