Maria Cioppa, age 68, of Yonkers died Saturday, May 26, 2012. Mrs. Cioppa was born on December 19, 1943 in Vitulazio, Italy, the daughter of the late Carlo and Immacolata (Farina) Rossi. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Cioppa. Devoted mother of Giovana (George) Minda, Lina (Domenico) Ferrara, and Tina (Jeff) Lohrfink. Loving grandmother of Giuliana, Anthony, Marco, Salvatore, Giancarlo, Luke, Gabriel and Alexandra. Dear sister of Luigi Rossi, Amerigo Rossi and Giuseppina Russo. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers. Entombment will be at Ferncliff Cemetery, in Hartsdale.
