Frank J. Celli, a lifetime Yonkers resident died peacefully on June 12, 2012 at the age of 92. Frank was one of nine children who were raised in the Park Hill area of Yonkers where his family owned and operated the well known Celli's Deli. For many years he worked as an operating engineer for various construction companies in Westchester. He was a long time member of Local 137 of the Operating Engineers. During World War II he served in the United States Army and saw action in the European theatre. Frank was also an active member of the Armando Rauso AMVETS Post 40. In his leisure time Frank enjoyed playing golf, cards with his friends and swimming at his residence in Florida. Beloved husband of the late Josephine Celli. Devoted father of Frank (Catherine) Celli. Cherished grandfather of Frank (Gina), Krista and Maria and great grandfather of Nicholas, Angelo, Ella, Dominic, Vincent, Francesca and Daniela. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Thursday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass at Mt. Carmel Church on Friday at 11 AM. Committal private.
