Lawrence Leonard Piturro, age 82, of North Kingstown, RI formerly of Yonkers died Sunday, June 17, 2012. Mr. Piturro was born December 18, 1929 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late Frank and Carmela (Guidotti) Piturro. Lawrence attended Saunders High School in Yonkers. He was employed by the city of Yonkers Department of Public Works. Lawrence also had a residence in West Yarmouth, Cape Cod. He loved to play golf, watch horse racing and he had a special love for his grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Joan (Moniz) Piturro. Loving father of Laurie Piturro and Gregory (Suzanne) Piturro. Cherished grandfather of Geraldine, Roberta and Gregory J. Piturro. Devoted great grandfather of Natalie and Olivia Costa and Garrett Cormier. Brother of Vincent Piturro, Dominick Piturro , Lucille Bisaccia and the late Stella Cornacchia, Pasquale Piturro, Rose DeLucci and Frances DuChene. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 at St. Eugene's Church, 31 Massitoa Road, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers.
