Anthony (Chops) Wishnewski passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 20,2012.He was 86. The son of the late John and Rose Wishnewski from Girard, Ohio, he was one of seven children. He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary DeVito-Wishnewski and by his son David. He is survived by his daughters Paula (Thomas) Viviano and Anne DiLascio-Marsico. Anthony was the proud grandfather of 4 grand-daughters; 3 grand-sons and 3 great-grandchildren. Anthony is a Navy veteran and proudly served his country during WWII as a demolitions expert. He worked for many years as a sheet metal designer for Carvel Industries. He was one of the original members of the Hastings Pioneer Boat Club. His love for boating and the Hudson River brought him much joy throughout his life. He will be truly missed by all who knew him especially by his buddy, Gary. Friends may visit Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5 to 9PM (TODAY) at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc. 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. Funeral Mass 11AM on Saturday,June 23, 2012 at Mt. Carmel RC Church,Yonkers. Burial follows at St. Joseph Cemetery,Yonkers. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Anthony may be sent to: James J.
