Rachel Mary Aquilino (Cerasuolo), 87 , of Salem Hills Nursing Home in Purdys, NY and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully on July 18, 2012. She was born in Yonkers on September 8, 1924 to Gaetano and Angelina Cerasuolo. In addition to raising a family, Rachel worked for Clairol and was a part time cafeteria aide for the Yonkers Board of Education.She also enjoyed crocheting, watching the NewYork Yankees, going out to dinner with her family and visits from her grand dog, Brownie. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Aquilino. Devoted mother of Lawrence G. Aquilino (retired Y.F.D.) and Thomas G. (Allison Montovelli) Aquilino and the late Angela Aquilino. Cherished grandmother of Leigh Anna and L.B. Aquilino.Also surviving are many other loving nieces and nephews. Loving sister of the late Anna Ranellone, Margaret Cerasuolo, Josephine Vece and Dolores De Palma. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday at 9:30AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. To light a candle or offer words of comfort please visit www.sinatraffh.com.
