George Kepcher Sr., was born in Granville, NY and was a lifetime resident of Hastings-on-Hudson. He spent the last two years living in Anderson, SC where he died peacefully on July 31, 2012 at the age of 85 the son of the late John and Anna (Basher) Kepcher. George was employed by General Motors for 46 years, as a sheet metal worker. He was a US Navy veteran, a member of the Hastings Southside Club and a long time parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Church in Yonkers. George was predeceased by his wife Viola (Melella) Kepcher. He was the devoted father of Lynn (Victor) Quintanilla of Anderson, S.C.; Deborah (Michael) Russomano of Ambler, PA and George Kepcher, Jr. of Ridgefield, CT. Also surviving are seven loving grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Monday from 7PM to 9PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 at St. Matthews Church, 616 Warburton Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
