Alma D. Ligay passed away peacefully on Thursday August 16, 2012 in Longwood, Florida at the age of 91. Born in Yonkers on April 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Leona and John Ballas. On October 21, 1944 she married Alexander Ligay, who predeceased her in 1999. After raising her family in Yonkers, they moved to Delray Beach, Florida in 1986 and enjoyed many happy years there. Alma is survived by her daughter, Susan Riehl and husband Michael of Beacon, NY; her grandchildren Christopher Riehl and wife Janet of Orlando, FL, Jeremy Riehl and wife Prairy of Orlando, FL, Stephanie (Riehl) Lyons of Orlando, Fl, and Taylor Ligay of Mahopac, NY; her great grandchildren Alyssa Lyons, Emily Riehl and Aubrey Riehl, all of Orlando, Fl; her sister Claire Evans of Southbury, CT and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sons David and Peter, and her brother Joseph Ballas. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday at 10 AM at St Casimir Church, 239 Nepperhan Ave, Yonkers. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery
