C. James Grosso died peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends. An Engineer, Administrator and Business Man; he was the owner of Mitchel's Antiques in Yonkers for 40 years. He was a devoted family man and friend. He worked tirelessly for the SWAN Organization enriching the lives of special adults in group homes. Mr. Grosso was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Scarsdale, an Army veteran who proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. A respected member of his community, and well known for his legendary generosity of spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand. Beloved by his broken hearted wife of 46 years, Marilyn, and their children, JeanAnn & Frank, Jeffrey & Patricia and his treasured granddaughter Nicole Jamie. Survived by his sisters and their husbands MaryAnn & John, Teresa, Loretta & Peter. Sorely missed by his in laws Michele & Joey and Michael & Aida. Loving Uncle and mentor to his nieces and nephews. Charles & Michele, Peter James & Michael, Jennifer, John & Michelle and Danielle. His life is a living testimony to his kind ways. The family will receive friends at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704, on Sunday and Monday from 2PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11 AM.
