Italia "Ida" Marchionni (Concia) died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2012. Ida was born on May 16, 1915 in Tagliacozza, Italy, she was 97. Along with her husband Alfred, they operated Marchionni's Market on Linden Street in Yonkers, NY for many years until they retired in 1979. Ida was an avid Yankees fan, wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Marchionni. Devoted mother of Anthony R. Marchionni (Natalie) of New City, NY, Elaine Scacchi of Yonkers, NY, Alfred J. Marchionni of New York City and Lucille Biele (Richard) of New Fairfield, CT. Loving sister of Elisa (Louise) Pergola, Antoinette Volpicelli and the late Emilio and Fernando Concia. Cherished grandmother of nine and great grandmother of six. Also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Thursday from 3-8 PM. Funeral mass at Mt. Carmel Church on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Cabrini Nursing Home, 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 1052 2 or to a charity of your choice .
