Obituary of Nicholas F DiMucci

Nicholas F. DiMucci of Yonkers, NY, passed away on November 22, 2012 at St. Patrick's Home in the Bronx after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was 87 years old. Mr. DiMucci had worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation. He was born in the Bronx on May 21, 1925 to Francis and Maria Lanza DiMucci. He served in the US Marine Corp from 1943 to 1946. On June 29, 1957 he married Loretta J. Pinto at Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx. Nick was an avid dancer, enjoyed singing and loved jazz. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Raymond's in the Bronx. He is survived by his wife, Loretta J. DiMucci of Yonkers, NY, two children; Diane (James) Darienzo of the Bronx and Nicholas (Patricia) DiMucci of Cary, NC and four grandchildren; Grace and Michael Darienzo, Sophie and Donavan DiMucci. Also survived by his nieces and nephews; Annabelle Hanson, Carl DiMucci, Frank DiMucci, Dion DiMucci, Joan LaPointe, Donna DiMucci and Camille DeGennaro. Predeceased by two brothers; Carmine DiMucci and Pasquale DiMucci, two sisters; Nancy DiMucci and Josephine Campanile and a niece Janet Campanile. Visitation is today, Saturday, 7-9pm and Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9pm at Sinatra Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday 10am at St. Eugene's Church. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
