Richard Salvatore, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died peacefully on December 6, 2012. Born on February 22, 1942 to Bernard and Mary (Vitulli) Salvatore, he was 70. He valiantly fought his battle with multiple myeloma cancer for 9 years with courage and grace. He was a source of strength and pride for his family and all who knew him. Richard was an avid classic car enthusiast and a master at restoration, winning many awards for his expertise. Beloved husband of Ellen (Benisatto) Salvatore and the late Bettylou (Castignoli) Salvatore. Devoted father of Richard Jr., Bettylou, Laura, and Nicole Salvatore. Cherished grandfather of Brianna, Anthony, Samantha and Richard III. Dear brother of Ronald (Alice) Salvatore and Bernard (Cheryl) Salvatore. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass at St. Ann's Church on Monday at 10 AM. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
