Frank N Scala, age 79, a life long resident of Mt. Kisco died Sunday December 9, 2012 with his family by his side after a long illness. Mr. Scala was born February 14, 1933 in Mt. Kisco, NY the son of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Ruggiero) Scala. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. He was employed at Finest Supermakets. He is survived by his beloved wife Marie (Burnham) Scala. Loving father of two daughters: Lynn Hards, Laurie (Jeff Elderkin) Powell and one son: Michael Scala. Cherished grandfather of Jeff, Aaron, Frankie, Amanda, Christina, Michael, Crystal and Anthony. Great grandfather of James, Cheynne and Emily. Brother of Theresa Scala, Peter Scala, Leonard Scala,and Nicholas Scala and the late Grace Scala. Also surviving are are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. A military service will be held at 6PM with a prayer service to follow at 7PM Thursday at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Roosevelt Engine Co. #1, 9 Cardinal Rd, Hyde Park, NY, 12538.
