Thomas Acquafredda, 58, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2012. Born October 28, 1954 to Margaret and Ralph Acquafredda, he was a longtime resident of Yonkers where he obtained a high school diploma and attended college. He worked in the volunteer service industry for various facilities throughout Westchester, where he received numerous awards and acknowledgements for his devotion. He was most proud of The Certificate of Distinguished Service from Westchester County, for his time and devotion in helping those in need. Thomas was the founder and president of the regional chapter of Little People of America, Yonkers. He was also an active member and strong supporter of the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation. Tommy's zest for life and can do attitude inspired all who met him. Always greeting you with a smile and loving words, the strong social network he leaves behind will mourn a very dear and special person. Predeceased by his mother Margaret. He is survived by his loving father Ralph, his adored sister Victoria Assumma. Cherished and devoted uncle and godfather of Daniel and Thomas Assumma. Loving boyfriend of Anna. Family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Sinatra Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:45am at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Yonkers with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. In lieu of flowers family will accept donations in Thomas' memory to the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, P.O. Box 824061, Philadelphia, PA 19182
