John G. Hangach, Sr., age 80, a long time resident of Yonkers, of New Fairfield, CT passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Mr. Hangach, Sr. was born January 9, 1933 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late George and Anna (Liptak) Hangach, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Angelina (Barcellona) Hangach, his loving children Debbie (Sam) Gaeta, Jr., Lisa (Andy) Marra, John ( Jessie) Hangach and Denise Hangach (Rich Erickson). Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Anthony, Matt, Alyssa, Courtney, JJ, Ashley, Jennifer and Nicky. He was predeceased by his brother George Hangach, Jr. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 at Most Holy Trinity Church, 18 Trinity Plaza, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Franciscan Friars at St. Felix Friary, 15 Trinity Plaza,Yonkers, NY 10701, (914) 476-7279 in his memory.
