Yvonne Yurus, a lifetime Yonkers resident, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2013 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Edward J. Yurus Sr. Devoted mother of Gail M. Yurus-Osso, Edward J. Yurus Jr., Jack (Marilyn) Yurus and Lisa M. (Bucky) Meier. Cherished sister of John (Cheryl) Sims. Also survived by sixteen loving grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Yvonne lived to love God, her family, and others. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave on Monday from 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral mass at St. Bartholomew's Church on Wednesday at 10:00am. Internment at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the St. Jude's Children Hospital preferred.
