Caroline A. Trovato, age 88, of Westerly died Friday, February 1, 2013. Mrs. Trovato was born May 19, 1924 in Hampton Falls, NH the daughter of the late Russell P. and Elizabeth C. (Cutts) Merrill. Caroline A. (Merrill) Trovato, 88, of Armonk, NY, passed away on Friday afternoon, February 1, 2013 at the Watch Hill Care & Rehab Facility in Westerly. She was pre-deceased by her husband, George Trovato Sr. in 2004. She is survived by her 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Anne Trovato of Stony Point, NY, George and Cate Trovato Jr. of Dallas, PA, Tony and Kathy Trovato of Nashville, TN, and Charles and Marie Trovato of Mahopak, NY, 4 daughters, Rosemary Buonocore of Westerly, Liz Trovato and her husband Charles Clough of Westerly, Angela and her husband James Verdon of Wilmington, NC and Luisa and her husband Ron DiOrio of New York City, NY, her brother and sister-in-law, George and Louise Merrill of Hampton Falls, NH, her sister, Marjorie Davies of Brentwood, NH, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Trovato was born in Hampton Falls, NH on May 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Russell P. and Elizabeth (Cutts) Merrill. After graduating from Keene State College in 1946, Caroline was a school teacher for the Town of Exeter, NH School System. She was a member of the Garden Club and the Women's Guild of St. Patrick's Church, both of Armonk, NY. Caroline was an avid reader and scrabble player, she enjoyed the beach, but most of all, she enjoyed her family. She was employed by Exeter Board Of Education ( Exeter, NH) as a School Teacher. She is survived by four daughters: Rosemary Buonocore, Liz (Charles Clough) Trovato, Angela (James) Verdon, Luisa (Ron) DiOrio and four sons: Joseph (Anne) Trovato, George (Cate) Trovato Jr., Tony (Kathy) Trovato, Charles (Marie) Trovato Sister of one sister: Marjorie Davies and one brother: George (Louise) Merrill
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 at St. Patrick's Church ( Armonk), 25 Cox Ave, Armonk. Interment will be in Middle Patent Cemetery, Banksville.
