Obituary of Bohdan Zupnyk

Bohdan Zupnyk, 62, of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY died late afternoon, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Calvary Hospital. Bohdan was born in Munich, Germany on October 8, 1950 to Dmytro and Helena Zupnyk. Predeceased by his parents, Dmytro and Helena Zupnyk, and sister, Vera L. Zupnyk Sinnott, Bohdan is survived by his daughter, Kristina Zupnyk of Brookfield, CT, and his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Bethany Zupnyk of Bethel, CT, and he would have welcomed his first grandchild in May. Bohdan was a loving father and a talented musician, who enjoyed outdoor activities, such as fishing and hunting. He was an avid Mets and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, who spent the last several years caring for his mother. The visitation will be held Monday from 5-9 pm at Hastings Funeral Inc., 15 Spring St, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. A Memorial service, also at Hastings Funeral Inc., will be held Tuesday at 12 pm. The internment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to either Calvary Hospital or a cancer foundation of your choosing would be appreciated.
