Obituary of Michael Christopher Marcasciano
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Christopher Marcasciano, on December 28th, 1970 the world became a little bit brighter and friendlier when a boy was born named Michael Marcasciano. He was welcomed with joy to the entire family. His mother Linda may have labored long to bring him into the world but we were blessed for that delivery. Soon he was joined by a precious sister Gina and the best of times were about to begin for Linda, Ronnie and the entire Mastrangelo and Pasqua families. He enjoyed the delicious food prepared by his grandmother Gloria Mastrangelo and listening to his grandfather Norge Mastrangelo tell stories. He was close to his uncle Thomas, his godfather and his Aunt Pamela (Eboli) along with his Uncle Norge Jr. Then another blessing came in little Stefanie who joined the family when Micheall was 13. The family was complete.
Michael had many hardships to overcome in his life but he never complained or harbored any hard feelings towards anyone for his circumstances. In fact, he worried more about everyone than himself. How many times can we recall a message on our phones from him wishing us a Happy Birthday, Anniversary or just good luck on any special occasion we were celebrating. He was so blessed to be able to recall all the dates of everything related to his loved ones. We needed him to keep track....
He loved music, and television shows and his taste varied widely. From Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, to Frank Sinatra and his favorite program Judge Judy. He was a very loyal fan as much as he was to his friends. His excitement for the holidays got everyone else excited. When someone was facing a hardship Michael would be so concerned for them, and his compassion was so much appreciated.
During the past 17 months, he faced bravely a fight with a disease that has no heart or compassion. He managed to enjoy a week of fun at the Jersey Shore with his family. which he loved going to year after year. However, he was back to battle again and on March 15th 2013 at 2:30 pm, surrounded by his parents, sisters, grandfather, uncle, aunts, cousin and friend. he left us to be able to brighten up the next life and be able to enjoy all that God has to offer. He is now able to be with his Grandmother Gloria, Aunts Helen Bello, Lena DeCesare, Uncles Alfred, Johnny, Ralph Bello and Diana Mastrangelo sharing with them the memories of his life. He will be forever in our hearts and watching over us, as our Guardian Angelo. God Bless You Michael. Rest in Peace until we meet again. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM and Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY.
