Obituary of Gloria Bellini

Gloria Jean Lawrence Bellini, 70, of Charlestown RI peacefully entered into rest at her home after a long illness on March 16, 2013. She was born June 7, 1942 in Essex Junction Vermont, the daughter of the late Edward and Juliette Lawrence. She was a long time resident of Fairfield CT before moving to Rhode Island 7 years ago. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1960 with a degree in dental hygiene. She worked for many years as a hygienist while pursuing her Masters Degree in Psychology, which was awarded from Sacred Heart University. Gloria was avid reader who enjoyed boating, playing cards, traveling and mostly spending time with her friends and family. Over the last 5 years, she was working on a personal biography of her father in law, Joseph L. Bellini Jr, who was a life long inspiration to her. Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph L Bellini III; her daughters Lisa M Bellini of Voorhees NJ, Allison L Bellini and her husband Thomas Koletas of Greenwich CT, and Heather A Bellini and Kevin Neznek of New York NY; 6 grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as mommom. She is also survived by a brother A. David Lawrence and his wife Joan of Rouses Point NY; a sister Susan J Miracle and her husband James of Vallejo CA; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 4-8 PM on Friday, March 22 at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home on 31 Arch Street in Greenwich CT. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 23 at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
