Sherise J. Stone-Laws departed this life on February 25, 2013. She was 23 years of age. Sherise was born to Keiwanna Laws and Tyrone Laws on January 13, 1990 in the city of White Plains, New York. At the age of 11 she and her family relocated to Yonkers, New York. Sherise was academically gifted and a High Achiever throughout her Educational years. She successfully graduated from Yonkers High School with high honors with an International Baccalaureate diploma. She was inducted into the Westchester scholar society and honored by Manhattanville College and the urban league for being one of the few black scholars of Westchester County. Sherise was an ambitious and determined young woman setting high goals and standards for herself. She truly loved life, close friends, and relatives. Sherise was preceded in death by her brother Tyrone Stone and grandmother Janie Stone. Sherise leaves to cherish her memory mother: Keiwanna Laws of Yonkers, New York, her father: Tyrone Laws of Charlotte, North Carolina, her three brothers: Terry Laws of Yonkers, New York, Isaiah Laws, and Tyrell Laws of Charlotte, North Carolina, her grandmother, Terry Barkley of the Bronx, New York, grandfather, Johnny Stone, of Birmingham, Alabama, and three Uncles: Roy Laws of Virginia, Tyese Laws of the Bronx, New York, Nathaniel Laws of Pennsylvania, and two aunts, Robin Laws and Renee Laws of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of cousins. She will be missed by all who loved her and knew her but she will always remain in our hearts. Her best friends: Devin Smith, Deja Arlien, and Shakia Smithson.
