Eleanor S. Lane, age 79, of Bedford, NY died peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2013. Eleanor graduated Vassar College and taught for a period of time at the Four Winds School in Cross River. She was a volunteer at St. Patrick's Church and School in Bedford where she also served on the parish council. Eleanor was also a member of the Conservative Party of NYS for many years. Beloved wife of Vincent J. Lane. Devoted mother of Jennifer, Gregory W., Timothy E., Douglas C. and Justin V. Lane. Cherished grandmother of nine and fond aunt of many. Loving sister of the late Ewdard G. Schildbach. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6PM to 9PM at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. The funeral mass will be Thursday at 10:00 at St. Patrick's Church ( Bedford), State Road, Bedford. Committal will be private .
