Assunta Di Battista, age 93, of Millbrook, NY and a longtime resident of Yonkers died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Assunta was born August 21, 1919 in Roccaraso, Italy the daughter of the late Riccardo Giuseppe and Anita (Giancola) Rucci. Beloved wife of the late Vincent "Jimmy" Di Battista. Devoted mother of Carmine (Bobbie) Di Battista, Anthony (Caroline) Di Battista, Dario (Elaine) Di Battista, Gilbert (Grace) Di Battista and Annadea (Cliff) Hanley. Loving grandmother of eleven and cherished great grandmother of ten. Assunta was the last of survivor of thirteen siblings . Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be Monday at 10:00 at Mt Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dutchess County, 374 Violet Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 1260, www.hospiceinc.org
