Obituary of Marie E. Teixeira

Marie E. Teixeira (Carneiro), a lifetime Mt. Kisco resident died peacefully on June 16, 2013 at the age of 96 surrounded by her loving family. Marie worked with her husband, Antonio in the family business, the DaSilva Fuel Oil Co. Then she was employed by the Readers' Digest for 33 years. Beloved wife of the late Antonio. Devoted mother of Margaret Teixeira of Mt. Kisco, Louise Hawley of Brewster, and the late Manuel Paul Teixeira. Cherished grandmother of Mark and Matthew Hawley, Paul Teixeira, and Gale Coneely, and great grandmother of Christian and Nicholas Teixeira and Alexis and Liam Hawley. Also survived by a daughter-in-law, Grace Teixeira. Seven brothers and three sisters died earlier. Friends may call at the Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main St., Mt. Kisco, on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Dominican Sisters Health Services, 299 Highland Ave., Ossining, NY 10562 preferred.
