Theresa O'Hara passed away on July 4th, 2013 at the Andrus Senior Care home in Hastings-on-Hudson. A former Yorktown Heights resident, she was 87 years old. Theresa was born on November 9, 1925 in New York City to Walter and Mary Batterson. Beloved wife of James J. O'Hara, mother of Lawrence O'Hara, and friend of 80 years to Eileen Wells all of whom she joins in eternal rest. She is survived by her daughter Margaret "Peggy" O'Hara. She retired in 1986 from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She was most loved by all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit her from 4-8pm on Monday at the Sinatra Funeral Home located at 601 Yonkers Ave in Yonkers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:45am at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
