Bernard N. Salvatore, of Port Chester, NY and formerly of Yonkers, NY died peacefully on July 6, 2013 at the age of 67 after a lengthy illness. Bernard was a self-employed insurance appraiser, working primarily in the automotive field. From 1965 - 1967 he served his country as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Div. of the US Army. He loved boating, motor-cycling, golf and leaves behind his canine companions, Jake and CJ. Beloved son of the late Bernard & Mary (Vitulli) Salvatore. Devoted husband of Cheryl (Owen-Mercaldi). Cherished father of Ralph Salvatore PhD. Fond brother of Ronald (Alice) Salvatore, and the late Richard (Ellen) Salvatore. Dear step-father of Jaime, Jennifer and Richard Mercaldi. Loving PaPa "Be" of Laura, Alex and Emma. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
