Nicola (Nino) Bonanni, 76, of Elmsford, NY passed away peacefully on August 20, 2013. He was born in Trieste, Italy on June 24, 1937 to Domenico and Domenica. In 1960, after marrying his loving wife, Maria, they immigrated to Yonkers, NY to begin their lives. Nino spent the next 31 years working for General Motors, driving limousines for his family owned business, and repairing televisions as well. Other than work, he enjoyed traveling, making his own wine, and eating home cooked meals from his adoring wife. His family was his whole world. Nino leaves behind his devoted wife Maria, two loving sons Domenic and Paul, admiring daughter in law Stefania and three adoring grandchildren Deanna, Nicholas and Nicole. Nino is also survived by his two sisters Angelina and Donatella and predeceased by his brother Donato. Poppy will always be remembered for his humor. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 22 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Sinatra Memorial Home 601 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704. Mass held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Park Hill Avenue, Yonkers, NY on Friday, August 23 at 10AM. Entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to White Plains Hospital in memory of Nicola Bonanni.
