She was born on 5/4/1927 and lelf us on 9/1/2013. She died at St. John's Hospital of natural causes surrounded by her daughter Joy, family members and friends.Lin was the daughter of Mr. Manuel Ducasse and Mrs. Herminia Moquete. She was a happy child and learned sewing, reading and field trips in her beautiful place of birth City of Barahona, Dominican Republic.
Lin completed HS and continued Higher Education and became a Licensed Teacher, and worked for 20 years until she retired as a Teacher and Librarian at Escuela Honduras in Sto Dgo. Dominican Republic.
Lin DaCosta married the only love of her life Mr.Antonio DaCosta Gomez and from that union they had their only Daughter Joy(Jacqueline).
Lin was a loving wife, mother and Grandmother. She was an active member of her Episcopal Church Congregation Iglesia San Andres in Yonkers NY. for over 30 years.
Mrs. Lin DaCosta enjoyed her characteristic self drive and independence and she always kept herself looking beautiful, bright and classy, She was a real Lady. She cultivated true and deep reputation within her community both in her native Dominican Republic and in The United States of America.
She enjoyed writing, reading her husband's poems, cooking delicious dishes, socializing with friends and relatives and endeavoring in her Religious and charitable activities.
The memory of Mrs. Lin Dacosta will always live in this world in the hearts of: Her daughter Joy DaCosta Fasciglione, her granddaughter Kimberly Fasciglione and her grandson Vito A. Fasciglione who jointly will always remember her love, compassion and abnegation, as well as the solid and unvarying character that she impregnated in them. Lin will be greatly missed by all her nephews, nieces and friends.
