Dorothy L. Troy, 77, of Yorktown Heights and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully on Sept. 5, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Troy. Devoted mother of Deborah (Andrew Sackett), Kathleen (Dominic Scardino), Thomas (Patti) Troy, Michael (Rhea) Troy. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Tyler, and Madison Sackett, Vincent and Nicholas Scardino, Alexa and Taylor Troy, and step-grandchildren Thomas and Amanda Feminelli, and Ryan DiGregorio. Adored sister of Anna (Frank Luciano) and brother Thomas (Carole) Bozzi. Dear sister-in-law of Frances Romano. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Dorothy's fun-loving spirit transcended the limitations of her wheelchair, bringing joy to all those around her and she will be deeply missed. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm, and Monday from 5-9pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church on Tuesday at 9:45am followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Hudson Valley Hospital and the staff at Somers Manor Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion.
