Marietta A. Carbone, age 60, of Yonkers and Daytona Beach died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Daytona Beach. Marietta was born December 18, 1952 in Yonkers, NY the daughter of the late Carmine and Dorothy (Phalen) Carbone. She was a long time employee of New York Telephone and a retiree of Verizon. She enjoyed traveling, reading and attending estate sales. She loved visiting family and friends and was an avid beach lover and cat rescuer. Loving sister of Christine Carbone and Carmine (Karen) Carbone. Dear aunt of Lee A. (Christina) Coe and great aunt of twins Anthony Phalen and Isabella Grace. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews. Marietta came from a very large family of loved ones and dear friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 10:00 at St. Mary's Church, 103 S. Broadway, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pets Alive in Elmsford, NY. (914-592-7339)
