Obituary of Andrew J Casella

Andrew Casella (Andy) was born in Yonkers, NY to Tessie and Anthony Casella on July 26, 1923. He was a Yonkers resident all his life. Andrew was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosemarie Coratti of fifty years. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years during World War II in the South Pacific on the Solomon Islands. Andrew attended the local schools in Yonkers and worked for American Compress Gases. Andrew was one of nine children. He is survived by his sister Gladys Kelly and her four children of Cos Cob, CT, his brother Walter Casella of Rutland, VT along with his wife Ella and their two children. He is also survived by his sister Florence Gonda of Delray Beach, Florida. Andrew has several loving nieces and nephews. Andrew is predeceased by five brothers, Edward, Richard, John, Raymond and Louis. Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring Street Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706 on Tuesday November 11, 2013 from 4-8 PM. There will be a chapel service held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 AM, followed by an entombment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Saw Mill River Rd, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
