Long-time Armonk resident Richard Vlachos died in his home on Friday, November 8, 2013. Mr. Vlachos was born in New York City on July 25, 1929 to Harry and Frances (Cantley) Vlachos. He and his brother Mitchell owned a wholesale flower business in Manhattan's Flower District. He is survived by his wife Hannelore, daughters Christine and Carolyn, son Douglas and grandsons Richard, Jack and Finn. Friends may call Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home on Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 5-8PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday 11AM. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, N.Y.
