Castaldo, Patrick, 95, a life-long resident of Yonkers, passed away on November 30, 2013. Patrick was born February 28,1918 to the late Vincenzo and Antoinette(Notaro) Castaldo. He co-owned the Castaldo Bakery in Yonkers with his beloved late brothers Nicholas and Frank. Patrick was a loving, kind and generous person whose family was everything to him, and he was a great friend to anyone who knew him. Patrick's singing voice was like that of the old crooners and he loved to sing to his family. It brought him joy to share stories of his childhood at Sunday and holiday dinners. Patrick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving overseas during WWII. He was married to his beloved childhood sweetheart Lena (Tancredi) for 66 years till her death in 2011. Patrick is survived by his four children; Patrick, Linda (Joseph) Fox, Francesca (Dwight)Young, Vincent (Clare) Castaldo, his niece, Susan Minozzi-Guzzardi and many other nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren; Lyana, Joseph, Linda, Patricia, Patrick, James, Maria-Elena, Keara, Patrick, and two great grandchildren; Vincent and Eric. Patrick was predeceased by his brothers Dominick, Nicholas, Fred, Frank and Salvatore and sisters Fanny Minozzi and Lucille Inglis. Friends and family may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. Yonkers, NY on Tuesday Dec. 3, 2013 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Dec. 4, 2014 at 10AM at St. Bartholomew's Church in Yonkers.
