Delfina Salvatori, 79, of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Yonkers died Friday December 7 with her family and friends at her side. She was born to the late Anna and Giuseppe DeGasperis, Jan. 7, 1934, in Sorbo, Italy. She was married to the late Domenico Salvatori in 1957, and they lived together in Sorbo, Italy before relocating to Yonkers in 1960 and settled at 174 Park Hill Ave. Delfina worked as a seamstress until she retired and was always passionate about cooking large gourmet meals and socializing with her family and friends. Delfina was an active member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church on Park Hill Ave.; where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed visiting her family throughout the USA and Italy. Delfina was preceded by her son: Joseph; 3 sisters: Malvina, Rossina, Maria; brother: Luiggino. Delfina is survived her son Anthony; 3 grandchildren: Dominick, Michael, Oriana Rose; her brother: Edmund and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 at Mt Carmel Church, 70 Park Hill Ave, Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Heart Association and/or American Lung Association.
