Eve S. Widdows, of Yonkers, NY, died on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Born in New York City on February 26, 1933, she is survived by her two daughters, Linda Fernberg and Nancy Widdows (Morgan McAulay) and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan, and Katie. Eve was passionate about politics and started her political career on the staff of Congressman Richard Ottinger in 1964. She later became the first Consumer Protection Officer for the City of Yonkers. Eve served as the Chief Clerk of the Supreme and County Courts of Westchester through 1993, when she retired in order to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. Eve was an active member of the American Association of University Women. She was a volunteer for numerous organizations, including Literacy Partners, Blythedale Hospital and Planned Parenthood.A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 27th at Congregation B'nai Yisrael in Armonk.
