A wonderful neighbor, and a true man.We will miss the sound of the red truck rumbling down the driveway. It has been part of our lives for all of these years. I remember when the kids and I ambushed Don's truck with snowballs one day when he came home from work. He loved it! Full of life and full of smiles. Always smiling. We will miss you Don. God Bless you and keep you.

Don was my first coach and introduced me to team sports with the Tiny Tuskers. Many of those girls were my friends throughout school and I can't thank Don enough for the time and energy he put into the team. I always felt welcome in the Brown's home and I send my thoughts and prayers to each of them during this time. Love to you guys

Donald and I go way back as alum of the Class of '69. I remember him as a neighbor, classmate and a great friend to my brother Tom, a fellow roofer. He always had the energy of three men and was kind, responsible and honest. I am so sorry to read of his passing at this early age. He and his family deserved many more years. My sympathy to his family.
Sincerely, Barb Mullen

Great memories of our cherished neighbor and good friend. Going to see his favorite band KIX at BB Kings, and then having a spirited political discussion over a late dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. And the great NFL playoff parties with the guys, that Don enjoyed so much. Just the perfect neighbor and gentleman who loved talking music, football, and always was willing to lend a helping hand.

Our sincere condolences to Marie, Amanda, Nicky and Megan from the Knight family. So many fond memories of Don coaching the Tiny Tuskers, cheering on both girls and all the support and guidance he would provide. I always appreciated all the support he gave us, and loved hearing about his trips to the shore and experience as a Grandpa! You will be missed, Don, RIP. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Jessy, Andrea and Karen Knight

We are saddened by the loss of one of our oldest friends in Somers. We coached the Tiny Tuskers together when our daughters were young. Not only did Don coach them in soccer, he gave them the opportunity to become a team and friends who had lots of fun together. Our deepest sympathies to Maria, Nick, Amanda and Megan. May he rest in peace.

So many fun times with the Tiny Tuskers, one of the first girls travel soccer teams in Somers. Don was my oldest daughter Erica's first & the best coach she ever had. He gave all of his time & taught the girls many valuable lessons. We are deeply saddened to lose one of the greatest guys ever in the history of Somers NY.
God bless Don & the whole Brown Family.

While I was not personal friends with the Browns they were always good neighbors. Don taking care of my roofs, Maria and Nick my children when they were younger and most recently the compassion and follow through they showed when our dogs got into an altercation. Don was a stand up guy and it meant a lot to our family. I'm sorry for your loss.

Don coached my daughter, Ginny because he loved coaching. He also volunteered to pick Ginny up and take her to games when my schedule just wouldn't allow.
My thoughts go out to lovely Maria, Amanda, Megan and especially to Nicky without whom Playcare Daycare wouldn't have survived!
The neighborhood was a better place because of the way Don lived his life.
Love,
Madeline
