God peacefully called Juanita Moody home to be with him on Wednesday, the 8th of January 2014.
Juanita Moody, also known as "Nita", was born on March 17, 1951 in Yonkers, NY to Emma and William Coleman.
Juanita attended Yonkers Public Schools, and graduated from Lincoln High School.
She was married to William Moody Sr. for thirty-nine years, and from this union were four daughters and one son.
Juanita was a faithful member of Christian Love Tabernacle in Yonkers, NY for over 25 years. She had a sweet soul and was saved and sanctified with the Holy Spirit. As a devoted member of the church, Juanita attended church regularly and also received the Mother of the Year award in 1999.
Juanita was a compassionate, warm-hearted person who truly loved children. She was a foster mother to many children throughout her lifetime. She touched several lives and led many hearts to the Lord. She always put herself last and others first. Juanita was a righteous, dignified woman who will be missed by many.
Juanita is survived by her devoted husband William Moody Sr., her loving children Monique Moody, Chanell Moody, William Moody Jr., Christina Moody and Shalita Moody; and adored by her grandchildren Mariah, Brian, Sierra and Jayden.
Also surviving is her two sisters and five brothers, Bruce Coleman, Cheryl Coleman, Alicia Graham, Willy Coleman, Arthur Coleman, Joseph Coleman, and Scott Coleman, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her parents Emma and William Coleman, and her brother Boyce Coleman.
Juanita may be gone from this world, but her spirit and love will live on forever.
The viewing will take place from 10-11am Tuesday at Christian Love Tabernacle in Yonkers, NY and the service will immediately follow the viewing at 11am. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery Hastings on Hudson, NY. Repass will be held at Christian Love Tabernacle following the burial,
